| Class No. 6: Lora Goodman | The Lora Goodman Sunday School Class
is made up of ladies from age 40 to 95. The main criteria to be a member of this class is that you want to
be part of a loving, caring, supportive group of Christian women who enjoy studying God's word. With 26 members
on the class roll, it is the largest class at Mount Olivet. Three ladies share teaching one month at the time,
and there is a very able assistant teacher to fill in when needed.
The class supports several mission projects such as the Bible Teaching Association program at two local high
schools, The Society of St. Andrews gleaning program, Cabarrus Cooperative Christian Ministries, church youth
projects, individuals when there is a need, and many others. Each month cards are sent to shut-ins, to remind them
that we care and miss them, and get well cards are sent to church members when needed.
This Sunday School class has been here for many, many years, and it is hoped that it has made a significant
difference to our church and our community. We invite anyone to join us and share some laughter and fun, some
tears and fears, and most of all, God's presence among us through it all!

| Class No. 7 Clarence Horton | Class No. 7 is composed of 22 believing United Methodists,
who represent all ages and stages of life and spiritual growth. They meet weekly in the Lillie Scott Bible Class
room behind the Sanctuary to study the Bible and its application to various engaging contemporary topics.
The curricum is Biblically-centered, and often involves the best-selling books and topics. During the past
year, for example, the class studied the foundations and beliefs of Islam, then studied in detail the best-selling
book, "The Red Sea Rules." The present teacher is Clarence Horton.
The class also supports many worthy causes, particularly at the Christmas Season. In addition to regular financial
support of Project Agape, Rev. Mischek Kanake, and the Kenya Team, the group usually adopts a needy family and/or
children at Christmas and purchases Christmas gifts for them. Recently the class has financially assisted a
family with its heating bills.
The members of Class No. 7 warmly welcome visitors and new members and strive to ensure that everyone feels at
home in their class.
